This recovery involved a hazardous materials load comprising of butane lighters, fuel deicer and commercial grade oxidizers. This combination created a very dangerous situation with a distinct possibility for fire. The primary concerns were to prevent sparks or other ignition sources during the process, and to keep the load contained within the trailer. This involved a cooperative effort between D&M Towing and several state and Kittitas County agencies.
